About Us

The mission of thesecondopinion is to provide free independent second opinions to adults in California diagnosed with cancer. Over our 38 year history, we have impacted the lives of thousands of patients and family members by providing clarity, compassion and choice.

Last year alone we saw patients from 22 counties and reviewed 33 different types of cancer.

We have a modest budget that supports a stream-lined team that provides administrative leadership and fiscal accountability, builds deep relationships that engages investments from private funding sources, and supervises a unique and compelling medical program.
